KCD Software consists of four modules allowing users to select the product just right for their needs.

MANHEIM, Pa. – KCD Software will demonstrate its design-through-manufacturing software specifically created for the cabinet and closet industries at Wood Pro Expo Lancaster, Oct. 13-14. KCD Software’s highly intuitive interface allows users to get up and running in less time. Broken down into four products, KCD Software says users can select the product just right for their needs. KCD Software’s Designer is used to create custom kitchens, baths, entertainment centers, built-ins, walk-in closets, garage storage, mudrooms and more. Users can create their own unit libraries and pull-down menus tailored specifically to their business. Professional builds on KCD Software’s Designer level software by adding essential whole systems for a more efficient workflow. Professional includes an automated pricing system, along with the Cabinotch libraries for direct-order outsourcing of custom cabinet parts. These two systems can help increase the profitability of a custom design business. Setting up and automating a business’s pricing takes the guesswork out of estimating each job individually. In addition to a design studio, pricing system and the Cabinotch Design Library, Workshop provides the software tools required to build projects from start to finish, with accuracy and efficiency. Workshop automates cut and parts lists (directly from a design) with the essential details needed to keep a production crew on board and up to speed. Construction notes, measurements, dimensions, and elevations paired with parts lists are eliminate errors and expedite production. CNC Commander provides custom design to manufacturing with one-button machining. CNC Commander produces nested G-code files instructing a CNC machine how to cut parts using the individual company’s construction details including shelf holes, drawer slide holes, hinge holes, and more.  CNC One-Button Manufacturing KCD Software will produce nested part files making it easy to set up and run parts production on a CNC machine. The CNC Commander also includes the CNC Manager and the Part Editor. CNC Manager allows multiple jobs to be run together, along with individual parts and replacement parts. The more parts that are included in the nest, the better the yield. The software also helps control which pieces rotate, and which ones do not.   CNC Part Viewer and Editor show all the details where the machine will cut, drill, and rout each part. The CNC part editor allows the user to change any part details for one-off custom situations such as adding cut-outs for an electrical outlet, moving, or removing holes, or changing the shape of the part.
