Optical Inspection System from Vision Embesoft Competes Globally

The production of Optical inspection and sorting machines are solely done in India. Mr. Pethani talks about the competition Indian manufacturers face and how Vision Embesoft Solutions, as an Indian manufacturing company has managed to overcome the challenges of the development of new machines. Slowly the manufacturing environment is shifting towards India, and that is occasioned due to the Make in India campaign.

What you see is what seems to be the motto of Vision Embesoft Solution (VES) which came about in the year 2008 in Gandhinagar in the state of Gujarat in India. They are today, a manufacturer and supplier of a range of cutting, marking, and inspection systems including laser CNC machines like fiber laser marking machines, laser engraving machines, laser etching machines, plastic laser marking machines, 3D laser engraving machines, laser automation tools, Co2 laser marking machines, Co2 laser lens marking machines, 3D crystal laser marking machines.

Between these, the company’s products can etch, mark, and engrave on any metal be it gold, silver, mild steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, or aluminum to name some. The company also makes 3D laser engraving machines that provide a 3D image on mild steel that helps in making dies and molds for gold and silver coins. Besides, the company also has similar machines for drilling, etching, and engraving on bangles across materials. Their other vertical is the manufacturer of camera-based dimension measurement, inspection, and sorting machines that include, Fasteners sorting machine, Auto parts sorting machine, a nut, bolt, screw and washer' sorting machine, Electric Parts sorting machine, and Special Purpose Sorting Machine.

These optical measurement machines help inspect the quality and sort final output for various industries in the nut-bolt and fastener category. Their other specialty is the CO2 laser marking machine for marking, cutting, and designing materials including denim, acrylic, wood, leather, cloth, ceramic, etc. All its producers, across uses, find application in varied industries and stand highly regarded.

These machines have their software and electronics and complete packages have been supplied to bearing manufacturers, lens manufacturers, irrigation pipe manufacturers, and battery charger manufacturers to name some.

It's the most niche product, they deal with diamond polishing and finishing including diamond planning machines and laser diamond cutting machines that come with their own advanced embedded software.

In an interview with Bhavesh Pethani, Director of Vision Embesoft Solutions talks about his company and its journey. Their initial years were spent making machines for the diamond industry but the recession made them change their focus toward the industrial sector. Their machines mentioned earlier have been well-received across industries, says Mr. Pethani with pride.

Vision Embesoft is known for its specialty machines that no one else supplies. With expertise in electrical, mechanical, optics, and laser technology, Vision Embesoft is one of the best in the field that is also into “Make in India” on a very large scale. One of the most sought-after machines is the 3D laser engraver used in dies and molds and the Laser cleaning machine used for rust removal. "Mostly we are working in these two sectors, that is Laser and Optics," says Mr. Pethani talking about his products.

The automobile industry is one of their biggest customers to whom they supply optical inspection and sorting machines for precision forging on pre-loaded conveyor belts for inspection from 5 perspectives. With its software, this system can help inspect up to 1 lakh units a day which greatly increases a manufacturer’s efficiency.

Providing customized solutions, Bhavesh is determined to innovate continuously. Most companies in India produce a variety of machinery that leads them to make machines that are low on quality. "This is the biggest challenge in India," says Bhavesh, because if there is a variety in products the manufacturers cannot afford the parts until the sales.

"Most of the competition comes from China, Japan, USA, Taiwan '' comments Bhavesh explaining how earlier no one used to take Indian manufacturers seriously but now after the 'Make In India' initiative, everyone wants to buy `Made in India” products. This change in the environment and a shift towards Indian products has inspired manufacturers here to innovate and provide better technologies.

"After the pandemic, Indian manufacturers have benefited a lot," said Bhavesh regarding the positioning of India in the global market. "Most of the schemes are advertised but are never really understood, apart from that India is in a good place globally" he added.

The story of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ has reached far and wide. But who are makers of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’? What is their story? ‘Machine Maker’ is a dedicated magazine that seeks to bring the incredible stories... Read More
