Thousands of Snapmaker users were taken aback today because the company introduced another module to bring more features to your manufacturing station. Released as part of Snapmaker's #StayFoolishKeepMaking event to celebrate the "Maker" spirit, the rotating module of Snapmaker 2.0 turns your device into a real 3D printer, rotating CNC machine and laser engraving machine. The rotating module opens up a new dimension in the manufacturing process, allowing you to jump from 2.5D CNC machining to incredibly detailed and accurate machining designs that look as good as 3D printing (if not better). The rotating module is perfectly integrated into the diversified ecosystem of Snapmaker 2.0, opening a world of new functions, prototypes and opportunities for the already multifunctional machine. Snapmaker 2.0 aims to democratize internal prototyping by simplifying professional-level technology to make it consumer-friendly (you can read more about it here). With the new rotation module, users are further authorized and have new opportunities to test their ideas.

The rotating module belongs to Snapmaker's modular ecosystem and can be seamlessly integrated into the workflow of Snapmaker 2.0 with just one touch. It replaces the flatbed accessory and can be used in conjunction with the CNC module to provide you with a 4-axis CNC machine. The 3D printing module allows you to print on curved surfaces, and even the laser etching/engraving head allows you to laser engrave artwork on cylindrical or curved surfaces. The module is equipped with a replaceable 3-jaw chuck that can be clamped inward or outward, and a special tailstock that provides you with extra stability during precise operation. This module is also bundled with Snapmaker Luban, which is a custom software that provides a smart and visual G code generation workflow to help you easily set up your project. Calibrating your machine is also very simple. Using Snapmaker's original assistant (on its screen module), you will be guided through a relatively simple process.

Like all components of Snapmaker 2.0, the rotating module is precisely machined from anodized aluminum, which is light in weight but high in performance. The rotating modules of A350 and A250 are available in two sizes and are shipped with Snapmaker's emergency stop button, allowing you to immediately stop working in the event of an error or emergency (the emergency stop button can also be used as a separate module). In addition, the rotating module is built on the unlimited capabilities of the Snapmaker 2.0 ecosystem, and it also promises to be compatible with all Snapmaker 2.0 modules released by the company in the future. Yes, you can believe our words (we are not pranking!)

The rotation module adds a 4th axis to your Snapmaker, making it an extremely powerful desktop CNC machining power, and so on.

Rotary Module is good at making 3D artwork such as desktop miniature models and small sculptures. Without the extrusion, layer shifting, stringing or support of FDM or SLA, the rotating module can achieve details and craftsmanship levels that other 3D printing technologies cannot achieve.

By adding 4 axes, the rotation module enables your Snapmaker to rotate CNC engraving and lasers.

The rotating module supports dozens of materials, including wood, tooling board, plastic, bamboo, leather, fabric, opaque acrylic, etc.

Whether it is a brave dwarf king with a wavy beard, an orc chief with a legendary weapon, or a hollow candlestick, the Snapmaker 2.0 rotating module can meet their needs.

The rotating module uses strain wave transmission and is equipped with a 100:1 reducer, which can convert the power to a lower output speed. This allows the 3-jaw chuck to rotate at a minimum angle of 0.1°. Now you can make on uneven and irregular surfaces without missing a step.

360° continuous rotation, maximum angular velocity of 45° per second, the rotating module is a fast sculptor. With the precise control of 0.2, 1, and 5 degree rotation on the touch screen, you can really see the difference in each action.

The three-jaw chuck supports objects with a maximum size of 170 length × 68 radius (mm) (with tailstock) or 225 length × 68 radius (mm) (without tailstock). You can also use compatible chucks on the market.

The center of the tailstock holds the object in place.

There are holes on both sides of the bottom plate, allowing the headstock and tailstock to be installed in different positions.

Snapmaker Luban is the free CAD and CAM software of choice for 4-axis projects. You can easily create your design from scratch in our bundled software.

Origin Assistant makes your experience and interaction with Rotary Carving smoother. Presetting CNC drills, setting the origin and Z offset, and installing materials becomes simple. You can also choose assist mode for a simpler process or manual mode for more flexible control.

The Snapmaker 2.0 emergency stop button can be installed almost anywhere, which means you can easily use the stop button when it is most important. Imagine if you want to save your artwork, or if the drill bit is about to hit the machine, you press the stop button without thinking, thus avoiding further potential damage.
