NIFT Recruitment 2022: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra  (Himachal Pradesh) has invited Applications from the Candidates meeting the Eligibility for Group ‘C’ Non-Teaching (NT) Posts; viz., 01) Assistant Warden (Girls); 02) Stenographer Grade-III and 03) Machine Mechanic respectively. Among the Applicants, who deem to have fulfilled the Eligibility for the Opted Post, and intend to submit respective Candidatures may proceed with applying as per the Instructions for the Notified Posts. There are 06 Vacancies under Level 4 referred for all 03 Post nomenclatures. The Last Date for the Applying Candidate befalls 7th October 2022 (07.10.2022).

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is a Premier Institute of the Fashion Business Education.

Mode of Applying: The Candidates should address the Applications in the Prescribed Application Proforma super scribed as “Application for the Post of ………………” on the Sealed Envelope.

Duly completed Applications should be attached with Self-Attested Copies of the Certificates and Testimonials substantiating the Birth Date, Educational Qualifications/Category/Experience,  and Demand Draft, etc.  The Demand Draft drawn in favor of “NIFT General Account” payable in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, should be Pinned or Clipped (but should not be tagged or stapled) at the top of the Prescribed Application Form, All together should be dispatched through Registered Post/Speed Post only Receivable up to Closing Date 07.10.2022.

Selection Process: Selection to the Candidates’ Opted/Applied Posts shall be through Written Test(s) and/or Skill/ Competency Test

The NIFT is likely to constitute a Screening-cum-Shortlisting Committee aimed at screening the Applications received from the Candidates to restrict the number of Candidates to a reasonable limit based on their Qualifications and Experience, etc.

The NIFT Screening Committee shall intimate the Eligible Shortlisted Candidates in respect of the Appointed Date and Venue for conducting Written Test/Skill or Competency Test.

The Selection Process to the Notified Posts may include the Written Test and/or Skill/Competency Test. The Selection of the Candidates shall be Purely on the basis of the Merit List drawn up. The Merit List will be drawn on the basis of the Written Test and/or Skill-Test (whichever is Applicable).

Eligibility: Education and Working Experience

Professional Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from any duly recognized University/Institution.

01 Year’s Experience as Assistant Warden in any Educational Institution under the Central Government/State Government/Autonomous Bodies.

Professional Educational Qualification: Eligible Candidate should have

i) Bachelor’s Degree from any duly recognized University/Institution.

01 Year’s Experience as Assistant Warden in any Educational Institution under the Central Government/State Government/Autonomous Bodies.

ii) Minimum Speed of 80 Words Per Minute in Shorthand and 40 Words Per Minute in Computer-Based Typewriting.

Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum 02 Years’ Serving Experience in the Government/Semi-Government/State Government/Union Territory/ Autonomous Organization/Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Operation.

a) Competency ‘C’ (For Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories/Foundation Program)

Post-Matriculation Full-Time 02 Years’ Diploma from Recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI)/National Skill Training Institute (NSTI)/ Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR)/ Indo-German Tool Room (IGTR)/National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the Trades of Fitter/Turner/ Machinist/Mechanic/Tool & Die Maker {For the National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSQF Level 5}. Or

Post-Matriculation Full-Time 03 Years’ Diploma Mechanical Engineering Branch from the All India Council for Technical Education approved institute/recognized Board/University.

Post-Matriculation 03 Years’ Experience (for 03 Years’ Diploma after Matriculation) and 04 Years’ Experience (for the National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSFQ Level 5) with knowledge of operating and repairing and maintenance of General Workshop Machineries in the fields of Solid Metal working, Sheet Metal working, Wood working, Plastic working Machines, i.e., Lathe, Milling, Thermoforming, Injection moulding, Metal casting, CNC Machines like 3D Printing, Laser cutting and Water Jet cutting, etc.

b) Competency ‘A’ (Department of Fashion Technology, Fashion Design & Knitwear Design)

Post-Matriculation Full-Time 03 Years’ Diploma from Recognized State/Central Board of Technical Education (CBTE) and Training in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering/Instrumentation Technology. Or

Post-Matriculation Full-Time 02 Years’ Diploma from Recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI)/National Skill Training Institute (NSTI)/ Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR)/ Indo-German Tool Room (IGTR) in Machinist / Mechanic Machine Tools Maintenance/Technician Mechatronics/Textile Mechatronics {For the National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSFQ Level 5}

Post-Matriculation 03 Years’ Experience (for 03 Years’ Diploma), 04 Years’ Experience (for The National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSFQ Level 5), 02 Years’ Experience (for The National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSFQ Level 5 after 12th) and 06 Years’ of Experience (for the National Skills Qualifications Framework: NSFQ Level 3) in repair and maintenance of cutting/Sewing/Finishing Machines in Garment Manufacturing Organization/ Training Institute
